Goh Ballet’s The Nutcracker

  • What: The Goh Ballet’s critically acclaimed production of the beloved holiday classic, The Nutcracker, returns to The Centre in Vancouver in December 2015. A fairytale ballet, the story is treasured by children and adults alike, weaving a tale full of magical surprises, and enchanting choreography.

Winter Solstice Lantern Festival

  • What: The 22nd Annual Winter Solstice Lantern Festival at the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden produced in partnership with the Secret Lantern Society transforms the Garden into a magical place on December 21, from 6 pm – 10 pm with hundreds of hand-made lanterns, live music, shadow puppets and hot aromatic tea.
  • Where: Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden – 578 Carrall Street, Vancouver
  • When: Monday, December 21; 6 to 10 p.m.

Ugly Sweater Party at Original Joe’s

  • What: Join us on Monday, December 21st for a pre-holiday celebration. We will be serving up great food, awesome tunes, and $5.50 Ugly Sweater Milk Stout from our friends at Parallel 49 Brewing Company.
  • Where: Original Joe’s Robson – 298 Robson Street, Vancouver

Free ice skating at Robson Square

  • What: The rink at Robson Square is operated seasonally by the provincial government when the temperatures begin to dip, running from morning into the late evening hours. This year, the free rink will remain open through the Christmas Holidays, including Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

Eight and a Half Inches of Comedy
