4th Annual West Coast Christmas Show & Marketplace

Dec 19 2017, 1:13 pm

One way to escape the madness of holiday shopping at malls is to head to one of the gift and craft fairs happening throughout the Lower Mainland. One of the biggest shows is the 4th annual West Coast Christmas Show & Marketplace, happening December 2-4 at the TRADEX (1190 Cornell St.) in Abbotsford by the airport.
Though it might be a long drive, the free parking and almost 200 exhibitors and stage speakers guarantee that you’ll find gifts for all the people on your nice list this year, and have some fun at the same time.

On the Home for the Holidays Stage, the show presents Decorator Wayne Louie, Brian Misko of BBQ competition team House of Q, Tracy Lydiatt, The Green Families Guru, and Chef Dale Mackay of ensemble Restaurant and winner of Top Chef Canada, cooking up a holiday treat at 12:30pm on Saturday, December 3rd.

The show will also have carollers and musicians on the Sounds of the Holidays Stage, photos with Santa Claus, Seminars from the Dairy Farmers of Canada, and a Gingerbread Chalet Competition by the Rick Hansen Secondary School in Abbotsford. The Festival of Trees Competition will have 13 charities decorating trees, one of which will win a $500 cash prize.

Exhibitors include Cougar’s Crag Extreme Bed & Breakfast, Deliss Chocolate, Elektra Cosmetics, EVERGROW Christmas Tree Co., Hansells Foods, Health Products for Pets, Monkey Butter, The Pampered Chef, Shelby Miller Jewelry Designs, SongsWithMyName.com, Stella & Dot, and Usborne Books.

Tickets range from $6-9 and discounts apply if bought online. www.westcoastchristmasshow.com
