Dec 8 2019, 6:28 pm

Four men were hurt in a Yaletown stabbing early Sunday morning, and one remains in hospital with serious injuries.

There was a group of men fighting near Hamilton and Helmcken streets around 2:30 am, according to a Vancouver Police Department media release. At some point it escalated, and four of the men needed to go to hospital with stab wounds.

One man remained in hospital later Sunday morning with more serious injuries than the others, according to Const. Tania Visintin.

One witness posted to Reddit they saw blood on the pavement in the area later Sunday morning, and that police had closed off an area near the Earls restaurant.

Police say they’re still investigating what happened. They ask anyone with information to contact the VPD’s Major Crime Section at 604-717-2541 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477.
