Dec 19 2017, 11:16 pm

Three teenagers have been charged in connection with the death of a 19-year-old Burnaby man in Whistler over the weekend.

Sgt. Stephanie Ashton with the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team says three seventeen year-olds have been charged with manslaughter in the death of Luka Gordic Whistler.

Ashton says Gordic knew his accused killers, despite initial reports to the contrary.

“This is a situation where you had groups of people up there who knew each other, they got into a dispute, and unfortunately it turned deadly.”

Ashton says there are some witnesses who have yet to speak to police, and they hope that happens soon.

She adds an 18-year-old man is also facing charges.

The accused appeared in North Vancouver Provincial Court today.
