Three men wanted after a kidnapping and double murder in East Vancouver last year have finally been apprehended and charged, say police.
The search for the men began after police discovered the bodies of Xuan Vanvy Bacao and Samantha Le in a home in Dieppe Place just before 10 pm on September 17.
Soon after the discovery of the bodies, police determined a man had also been kidnapped from the home and concluded both the murders and abduction were targeted.
Two days later, police were able to rescue him and arrested three individuals in their 20s, who remain in custody.
Canada-wide arrest warrants were then issued for three more suspects still at large.
All three have now been apprehended and are charged with kidnapping, unlawful confinement, aggravated assault, and two counts of extortion.
Ellwood Thomas Bradbury, 26, was arrested in Surrey on January 28 and Matthew Scott Stewart, 33, was arrested in Vancouver on February 5.
Meanwhile, Erlan Lizandro Acosta, 26, was arrested in Mesquite, Texas, with the help of the US Marshal Service. He is awaiting extradition.
No charges have yet been laid in the homicide cases.
