Police are investigating a weekend break and enter that has left Cirque Du Soleil organizers short a few costumes.
At around 3:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 31, three unidentified men broke into a Cirque Du Soleil tent at 88 Pacific Boulevard and made off with a necklace and two masks.
All three items were created for Cirque Du Soleil’s Totem production, and are valued at approximately $28,000.
Police are looking for a stolen jeweled necklace, a black mask with gold trim and an ape mask.
“We are appealing to the public to help us get the stolen costumes back, because the show must go on,” says VPD spokesperson Sergeant Randy Fincham.
Anyone with information about this crime is asked to contact the Vancouver Police at 604-717-3321 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
