All night long: 24 Hour restaurants in Vancouver

Dec 19 2017, 10:47 pm

Sometimes you need a life after the night life, or to get a little studying done, or to grab some grub in the wee hours. No matter what has you up all night, there are a few places in Vancouver where you can get some food or coffee (or both!) 24 hours a day.

Not every spot is ideal for the cracking the books, and not everyone is going to serve you a meal to remember. Still, for when the need arises, here is our list of 24 hour restaurants, coffee shops, and fast food joints in Vancouver.

Lucy’s Eastside Diner

Diner vibe is in the air, and diner food is on the menu at Lucy’s. This fun Mount Pleasant hangout is a long-time local fave, and was even featured on TV’s “You Gotta Eat Here.” And when you do eat here…get a milkshake!

Address: 2708 Main Street, Mount Pleasant
Phone: 604-568-1550

Duffin’s Donuts

This classic Vancouver donut shop will not only help you address your donut needs 24 hours a day, but also give you the opportunity to stuff your face with some damn good fried chicken, torta sub sandwiches, and Vietnamese eats. True, that makes it the more schizophrenic of the donut shops in town, but with a case stockpiled with gleaming donut jewels (including their much-hailed sprinkle-topped donut), Duffin’s is still tops when it comes to old school donuts.

Address: 1391 41st Ave E
Phone: 604-325-5544

The Naam

Even vegetarians get the late night munchies! All kidding aside, The Naam is a Vancouver legend when it comes to both 24-hour eats and veggie food. Definitely a sentimental favourite, this 70s throwback is still serving up meat-free eats to local night owls.

Address: 2724 West 4th Avenue, Vancouver

If you went (or are going) to UBC, getting work done at Calhoun’s might be an old familiar routine. You’re not here for the food, though; you’re here to sit down, crack open the laptop, and crank your work out at any hour on the clock.

Address: 3035 West Broadway, Kitsilano

Knight & Day

Knight & Day has been around in Vancouver since the early 1950s, and remains serving up old fashioned comfort fare at all hours of the day. They even do an all-day breakfast, if you’re craving some sunny side up eggs well before sunrise.

Address: 3684 Lougheed Hwy

Siegel’s Bagels

You never know when the need to nosh will strike. Thank goodness for Siegel’s Bagels and their all night long service. Even Montrealers swear by the Rosemary Rock Salt bagel at Siegel’s.
