22 movies and TV shows filming in Vancouver this November

Hello November!

It’s hard to believe that November is already here, and colder days are ahead in Vancouver. Don’t let ol’ jack frost keep you inside though – here are 22 TV shows and movies filming in Vancouver this November.

Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile

Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile started filming in Vancouver recently and will continue through into 2018. The film will bring on a whole new role for Zac Efron who plays serial killer Ted Bundy and gives an inside look at the story from his girlfriend Elizabeth’s perspective, who always denied Bundy’s actions before eventually turning him into the police.

A Dog’s Way Home

A Dog’s Way Home started filming in Vancouver this October and will continue through to December. The film is based on the book by bestselling author W. Bruce Cameron, who also wrote A Dog’s Purpose which was released as a feature film earlier this year.

Two/One

Starring Boyd Holbrook, Two/One started filming in Vancouver this November, and will continue through to December. This new movie explores the connection between two men on opposite sides of the world, and the concept that while we sleep in one place, we may be awake somewhere else.

Skyscraper


Skyscraper will be filming in Vancouver through to mid November and stars none other than Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Joining Johnson on set is Neve Campbell, and BC native Pablo Schreiber.

The film is set in China and stars Johnson as Will Ford, a former FBI hostage rescue team leader and US war veteran whose job is to assess security for skyscrapers.

A festive flick currently filming in town is Disney’s Nicole, also known as Noelle, which stars Anna Kendrick alongside Shirley MacLaine and Bill Hader. Kendrick plays Santa’s daughter who is called upon to take over the family business after her father retires.

The Good Doctor – Season 1

The Good Doctor will be filming its first season in Vancouver through to March 2018. Starring Freddie Highmore as main character Shaun Murphy, the show revolves around an autistic surgeon who thinks outside the box and is recruited to work at a prestigious hospital.

Colony – Season 3

With previous series being filmed in Los Angeles, Colony will be in Vancouver this fall to film its third season through to February 2018. Starring Sarah Wayne Callies and Josh Holloway, the series is a science-fiction drama set in the future after an alien invasion.

UnREAL – Season 4

Renewed for a fourth season this past July is UnREAL, a drama series that revolves around a reality dating show known as Everlasting. Shiri Appleby plays the producer for the show, Rachel Goldberg, who must get ratings up and does so by manipulating the game. UnREAL started filming in town in mid October and will continue to January 2018.

SIX – Season 2

Previously filmed in North Carolina, History Channel’s SIX will be filming its second season in Vancouver through to November.

The show follows a team of US Navy operatives known as SEAL Team Six, and the new season will feature Olivia Munn as a CIA operative.

The 100 – Season 5

The 100 has been in production in Vancouver for its fifth season and will continue into January 2018.

The series centers around post apocalypse survivors living on a space station, who end up sending down a group of juvenile prisoners to figure out if life can still exist on Earth.

Riverdale – Season 2

The hit show Riverdale returned to Metro Vancouver to film its second season and production will continue into November. The new series just aired this past October on The CW with new episodes weekly. Now that we know who killed Jason Blossom, who knows what season two will have in store!

Life Sentence – Season 1

A new comedy drama series by The CW starring Lucy Hale started filming in Vancouver in August and will continue into January 2018. Life Sentence will follow main character Stella, played by Hale, who suddenly finds out her terminal cancer has been cured, and now she must live with the choices she made when she thought she was dying.

iZombie – Season 4

After being renewed for another season in May, iZombie returns to Vancouver to film its fourth season through to January 2018. The show is an adaptation of the comic books with the same name, and the series follows the life of Liv Moore who has been changed into a zombie and must satisfy her hunger to stay sane.

A Series of Unfortunate Events – Season 2 and 3


Calling all Neil Patrick Harris fans! NPH will be in the Vancouver area filming for season two and three of A Series of Unfortunate Events through to April 2018.

Based on the books by Daniel Handler, the show follows the lives of Violet, Klaus and Sunny, three siblings who just lost their parents in a mysterious fire.

The Crossing – Season 1

The Crossing is a new series filming in Vancouver, and is said to be an American science fiction thriller series starring Steve Zahn and Natalie Martinez. Production is said to wrap up by mid November.

The X-Files – Season 11

Back for its eleventh season, the sci-fi series The X-Files returns to film in Vancouver through to December. After a successful reboot this past year, the show was renewed in April to pick up after season ten’s finale.

Once Upon a Time – Season 7

The fairytale continues in Steveston Village this fall to film the latest installment of Once Upon a Time. The seventh season is said to be a total reboot and will feature all new season regulars, with a few of the old favourites returning including Rumplestiltskin and Captain Hook.

Supernatural – Season 13

Back for its 13th season, Supernatural will be filming in Metro Vancouver throughout November. Starring Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles, the series was renewed for another season in January and premiered on The CW at the beginning of October.

Arrow – Season 6

Arrow returns to shoot its sixth season in Vancouver and star Stephen Amell was quoted saying that he hopes the new season will be more like the actual comics. After ending last season on a total cliffhanger, fans are just dying to know what will happen next!

The Flash – Season 4


Back for its fourth season, The Flash will be on location in Vancouver through to April 2018. The new season just recently aired and after the doom and gloom of last season, is said to be the lightest, and funniest the show has ever been.

Legends of Tomorrow – Season 3

Another The CW show filming in Vancouver through to February 2018 is Legends of Tomorrow. The series follows time master Rip Hunter who rallies together a group of heroes and villains to help prevent an apocalypse from happening on earth and destroying all time.

Supergirl – Season 3

Supergirl is back to save the day! Season 3 of the hit series started filming in Vancouver over the summer and will continue through to April 2018.
