Thanks to a screw up by Canada Revenue Agency, Canadians get an extra week to file their 2014 income tax return.
A “human error” has caused the government to push back the filing deadline to Tuesday, May 5.
Revenue Minister Kerry-Lynne Findlay “has made it clear that this incorrect information is unacceptable,” the CRA said.
Last year’s deadline was also extended to May 5 due to the Heartbleed computer bug that forced the CRA to shutdown its systems.
