2010 Granville Island Farmers Market

Dec 19 2017, 12:26 pm

One of my favourite places to check out in all of Vancouver on any given day (especially when it’s sunny) is Granville Island. The public market is amazing, no wonder it was voted one of the great public spaces in North America and 10 million people visit it annually. Furthermore, as spring arrives and summer nears the Granville Island Farmers Market (the oldest in Vancouver) add to the great vibes.

The farmers market at Granville Island has been going on for well over 20 years and it features all things fresh straight from the farm. Throughout the summer months (and a bit of autumn), it’s the place to get the freshest produce from local farmers.

From plants and flowers to fruit and vegetables, you’ll find a splendor of freshness when you come check out the Farmers Market on Granville Island. This year, bring your reusable bag to the Farmers Market new location: Triangle Square (conveniently in between Net Loft and Public Market), 9 am to 3 pm, every Thursday, June to October. It’s cash only, but not to worry, there are Vancity and RBC ATMS nearby. And remember, if you can, make sure to bike, walk, take transit, or the Aquabus and False Creek Ferry.
