2009 Vancouver St. Patrick's Day Parade (March 15th)

Dec 19 2017, 11:48 am

There is nothing more we love here at VcB than a good parade. Vancouver is buzzin’ with them, it just seems like yesterday that we were eating fortune cookies at the Chinese New Year Parade.
This Sunday March 15th the streets of downtown Vancouver will be full of people adorned in green attire. This year features a new parade route, the parade will now travel along West Georgia street. It will commence at the corner of Georgia and Broughton and head eastwards until Georgia and Howe.

Here is a cool map of the parade route from celticfestvancouver.com

Here is some more info from celticfestvancouver.com about the parade:

Parade goers will be in for a treat when more than 2,000 participants take to the streets! Expect to see great performers, multi cultural floats, famous marching and civic bands, Celtic warriors, clowns, stilt walkers, antique vehicles, horse mounted drill teams, Irish wolfhounds, and much more! Keep your eyes peeled to the skies for an aerial display.

Arrive early and catch the free entertainment on the Market Stage at 10 am. And after the parade, be sure to visit the Celtic Village where there’ll be plenty of Celtic treasures to discover as well as kids entertainment and free performances on the music stage throughout the day (and Saturday).

So go out and enjoy the streets of downtown and attend the 6th annual Vancouver St. Patrick’s Day parade. As a bonus for parade goers Money J Skeets will be dressed as a green leprechaun.
