2009 Vancouver International Burlesque Festival May 1 - 10

We had no clue the Lower Mainland played host a burlesque festival until Annie (check out her site) told us about it. She is traveling all the way from Chicago to take part in this 10 day festival. I hope she isn’t a Blackhawks fan because the Canucks are gonna take it in 6. Thanks Annie for the heads up.This year marks the fourth annual Vancouver International Burlesque Festival. Attracting sell-out crowds in 2008, this year’s festival will showcase Vancouver’s vibrant burlesque scene and will feature productions by local luminaries including: The Screaming Chicken Theatrical Society, Sweet Soul Burlesque, The Pink Flamingo Burlesque, Kitty Nights, The Wet Spots, The Diamond Mine, The Cheesecake Burlesque Revue and Girls on Top.

Visiting burlesque stars will also twinkle throughout the festival and we are excited to present the legendary Jo ‘Boobs’ Weldon (NYC), Red Hot Annie (Chicago), MC Vincent Drambuie (Seattle), Scarlett James (Montreal), Malaika Millions (L.A.), Delilah Burlesque (San Francisco) and other to be confirmed…
