20 photos of Vancouver's 4/20 celebrations

Dec 19 2017, 10:53 pm

The cannabis culture celebration, otherwise known as 4/20, at the Vancouver Art Gallery on Monday brought at least 20,000 people to a one block radius between Howe St. and Hornby St. and Robson and Georgia.

Whether you enjoy a toke or two every so often (or every day), or you don’t partake in the recreational drug, the scene downtown Monday afternoon was high up on the list of largest Vancouver events.

However, key roads are closed around the city centre during the evening rush hour, causing major gridlock around the peninsula.

The event itself was not half-baked; booths selling products, food and merchandise lined the streets while friends and community joined together to boldly celebrate their love for marijuana.

To be blunt, you’ll need to weed through these pictures to understand.

Happy 420 Vancouver!
