If you heard cheering crowds and whizzing racing bicycles downtown last night, you probably stumbled upon the Gastown Grand Prix.
Canada’s oldest one-day cycling classic happened Wednesday evening, closing down Water Street in historic Gastown.
The event started out with the youth race, followed by the women’s, and then finally the men’s. Thousands lined the street to watch as Denise Ramsden won first place in the women’s race and Ryan Roth took first place in the men’s.
Denise Ramsden finishes in 1st place!! 2nd place goes to Annie Foreman-Macky and in 3rd place goes to Shelly Olds. Congrats ladies!
