17°C Dessert Cafe opens in East Van

Get your spoons ready: a new dessert spot has recently opened up its doors on Kingsway (near Nanaimo Street).

Officially opening on May 22, 17°C Dessert Cafe offers a range of unique and Instagram-friendly “icy bowls,” composed of creamy milk-infused shaved ice, fresh fruit, scoops of ice cream, and an array of delectable toppings (think balled melon, shaved almonds, condensed milk, and popping pearls).

On the menu, dessert lovers will find fresh fruit bowls, including a Watermelon Icy and a Honey Dew Icy (both served in hollowed out melon halves), a Pineapple Icy, and a Fruit Boat.

Also available, smoothies, yogurt parfaits, and the dessert cafe’s signature and gimmicky light bulb drinks. Carbonated and super sweet these vibrantly-coloured beverages come in flavours like Lemon, Kiwi, Red Pomegranate, and Passion Fruit.
