With the BC Parks online reservation service currently on the fritz, making those springtime camping plans can be tough. To help ease the burden, here are 10 of the best non-provincial campsites in and around Metro Vancouver.

Paradise Valley Campground

Located on the riverside near Brohm Lake, Paradise Valley Campground offers a heavily forested environment, as well as a ton of places for hiking, bouldering, kayaking, biking, and a federal fish hatchery for a bit of education.

Squamish Valley Campground

Next to the Squamish River, the Squamish Valley Campground is another gem in the forested crown of West Coast camp sites. Take in the sights and sounds of the Pacific Northwest, swim in the river, or hit the trails: there’s something for everyone.

Creekside Campground

Near Davis Beach, Creekside is a full service camp ground with 38 sites including RV hookups for water, electricity, and septic. The Wilson Creek runs alongside the property, but there’s always the pool if you’re not ready for wild water.

Anmore Camp

Just 45 minutes outside of Vancouver, Anmore offers a comfortable and quiet camping experience, while still being close enough to all the amenities you could need.

Kilby Park

Part campsite, part Historic Site, Kilby Park features beautiful campgrounds, as well as the BC Museum of Rural Life. Complete with collections and exhibits, it’s a one-of-a-kind camping experience.

Dogwood Campgrounds

Fort Camping

Near Cultus Lake, Sunnyside is a nice quiet campground in the forested, rustic cabin filled wilds of Chilliwack. Take a boat out on the lake and live the way West Coasters were meant to.

Vedder River Campground
