Yorkville Village is hosting an immersive art festival next month

In the spirit of artistic collaboration, Yorkville Village will be partnering with OCAD University to host the fourth annual Yorkville Village Arts Festival this November.

Now in its fourth year, the festival will feature original contemporary art pieces from 28 talented OCAD University students and recent graduates.

The Festival is a “one of a kind” project that features a juried exhibition of art and dynamic events over the course of the six-day event.

Each of the curated pieces on display will be for sale to the general public, so if you’re in the market for a unique piece from an up and coming local designer chances are you’ll find it at the festival.

Some of the pieces to keep your eyes out for include a collaborative piece created by award-winning artist Hudson Christie in cooperation with some 300 students from Jesse Ketchum Public School. Proceeds from the sale of this specific piece will be directed towards supporting educational programs at the school.

In addition to art, attendees can also check out a virtual reality experience, a live painting created by Chief Lady Bird and have the chance to chat with each of the artists.
