Toronto is getting a new summer festival centred around wine, cider, and beer
Get wild this summer in Toronto at the debut of the Wild Things Fest happening at Propeller Coffee Co. in June.
Billed as a chance to sip and sample “low-intervention wines, funky brews and hazy ciders made with indigenous or wild yeasts,” this festival is all about wild-fermented one-offs offered by craft breweries, cideries and biodynamic wineries.
The wine list curated by The Living Vine Inc. showcases labels from across the world:
- Agricola Cirelli Montepulciano, Abruzzo, Italy
- Eric Texier, Chat Fou, Rhone, France
- La Stoppa Trebbiolo, Emilia, Italy
- Southbrook Vineyards Orange Wine, Niagara, Ontario
- Arianna Occhipinti SP68 Bianco, Sicily, Italy
- Meinklang Farm, Gruner Veltliner, Austria
- Ampeleia Uniltro, Tuscany, Italy
Meanwhile, the line-up of participating Ontario craft brewers exclusively features visiting breweries from outside of Toronto:
- Dominion City Brewing Co. (Ottawa)
- Sawdust City Brewery (Gravenhurst)
- Elora Brewing Company (Elora)
- The Exchange Brewery (Niagara-on-the-Lake)
- Nickel Brook Brewing Co.(Burlington)
