A massive luxury Nordik Spa is set to open near Toronto

Sometimes you just need a break from the city for some much-needed R&R.

And sure, you could head to Blue Mountain’s Scandinavian Spa. But what if you don’t feel like driving two hours?

You’re in luck, as a massive Nordik Spa is slated to open in Whitby by 2019. You may have heard of this development in the past, but the opening date was continually pushed back.

Now the development of this long-awaited luxury spa resort is back on track, and construction is expected to begin summer of 2018.

The spa will be located near Cullen Central Park (300 Taunton Road) and will be built over an area of 385,423 sq. in the heart of Whitby.

The new location will be able to accommodate 700 visitors at a time, and they will be able to enjoy a multi-sensory relaxation experience in a soothing natural environment.

There will be various dry saunas, steam saunas, outdoor pools (hot, cold, and temperate), waterfalls, and multiple outdoor and indoor rest areas available, so however you prefer to unwind there’s a treatment for you.

There will also be a range of massages, body treatments, and wellness rituals offered to provide the ultimate relaxation experience.

This unique facility will also include the brand’s noteworthy saltwater floating pool, where wellness enthusiasts will be able to experience the extraordinary sensation of weightlessness. Talk about bliss.

The Whitby spa will be the company’s third location. The Nordik Group currently has locations in Winnipeg, Manitoba and Chelsea, Quebec. The group has the goal to open 10 spas over the next 10 years.
