You can now pick up your Walmart groceries at Church and Wellesley

Grabbing groceries downtown just got easier.

Because as of this month, Walmart’s online grocery service is available for pickup at the Penguin PickUp at Church Street and Wellesley Avenue.

This location of PenguinPickUp allows customers in the area to choose their items online and grab them from a local hub, instead of needing to drive all the way to a Walmart storefront.

“The new Church Street PenguinPickUp location means we can serve customers that don’t have a Walmart Supercentre close by,” said Daryl Porter, vice president of omni-channel operations and online grocery at Walmart Canada, in a press release.

And there plenty of delicious eats available through the PenguinPickUp option. You can order organic fruits and vegetables, AAA Angus beef, seafood, baked goods, and frozen foods, plus health and beauty products, household supplies, pet food, and so much more.

“The ability to order groceries online for pick up when it is convenient is appealing to people who work or live in urban neighbourhoods such as The Village,” said Mitchell Goldhar, owner of PenguinPickUp.

If you’d like to pick your groceries up from one of these pickups, you can order online or through the Walmart app, and then stop by any convenient location.

Walmart also offers next day grocery delivery in the Church and Wellesley area.

With the addition of this new PenguinPickUp, there are now 10 locations offering Walmart groceries including Harbourfront, Leslieville, and Eglinton in Toronto.
