What to expect when Vaughan Mills Shopping Centre reopens tomorrow

Jun 18 2020, 3:32 pm

Vaughan Mills Shopping Centre is resuming its operations on June 19, after weeks of closure due to the pandemic.

In order to maintain the health and safety of both mall employees and shoppers, a number of new measures have been set in place.

Those visiting Vaughan Mills can expect to see hand soap and hand sanitizer dispensers at designated locations on the property, alongside the implementation of rigorous sanitization procedures for washrooms, tables, door handles, and other high-touch surfaces with increased frequency.

Individuals on the mall’s property are required to maintain two metres of distance from others, and social distancing markers are to be respected, along with the maximum limit of two people at a time on elevators.

For now, seating in the food court and common area is eliminated.

Guest Services will be open June 19 during regular shopping centre hours with new plexiglass guards and other physical distancing measures in place. As safety and social distancing measures are in effect, Vaughan Mills will also be monitoring customer traffic within the centre.

Anyone experiencing a cough, difficulty breathing, or a fever, is asked not to attend the mall.

Retailers that will be open for business as of June 19 include:

  • Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World
  • Calvin Klein Outlet
  • DSW
  • GNC
  • H&M
  • Jump+
  • Laura Superstore
  • Lenscrafters
  • Nordstrom Rack
  • Pro Hockey Life
  • Saks OFF 5TH
  • Szechuan Szechuan
  • Toys “R” Us
  • Urban Planet
  • Winners/Homesense

The mall will be open from 11 am to 7 pm, Monday to Saturday, and from 11 am to 6 pm on Sunday.
