You can start getting into the holiday spirit next month at a dazzling drive-through light trail, featuring almost 100 displays.

Just over an hour’s drive from Toronto, the annual Uxbridge Optimist Fantasy of Lights has one of the biggest exhibits of Christmas lights in Ontario, according to the event’s website.

Beginning December 5, spectators can be whisked to a twinkling holiday paradise as they drive through a trail filled with over 75 light displays from community groups, businesses, schools, churches, and families.

The Optimist Club of Uxbridge has put on the Fantasy of Lights since 2007.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s iteration of the event will be drive-through only. The walk-through tunnel and horse-drawn carriage rides will not be available this year, says the website.

“The Optimist Club of Uxbridge is committed to making this year’s display more brilliant than ever to make up for it, and to brighten your mood this holiday season,” they said.
