Several TTC subway stations will be closed this weekend

Those planning to travel along the green line this weekend should be ready for a series of subway closures.

There will be no subway service on the portion of Line 2 between Jane and Kipling stations on July 11 and 12, due to track work.

Replacement shuttle buses will be running, stopping at each station along the route, and TTC staff will be present to direct customers toward shuttle boarding and offloading locations — these will vary from station to station.

All stations will remain open for fare sales and access to surface routes however, the Grenview Boulevard automatic entrance and exit at Royal York Station will be closed.

Any customers requiring Wheel-Trans should speak to a TTC customer service staff member for assistance.

Additionally, next week, from Monday, July 13 through to Thursday, July 16, subway service on the portion of Line 2 between Woodbine and Kennedy stations will end nightly at 11 pm, also for track work.

Replacement shuttle buses will run during this time, stopping at all stations, and TTC staff will be present to assist customers with directions.

All stations will remain open for fare sales and access to surface routes, though the Teesdale Place automatic entrance and exit at Victoria Park Station will be closed. Again, during this time of early closures, any customers requiring Wheel-Trans should speak to any TTC customer service staff member for assistance.

While the TTC does most subway maintenance at the conclusion of service each night, it continues to require weekend and early weeknight closures to complete infrastructure and ATC upgrades.
