Subway service on a portion of the TTC’s Line 1 will end nightly next week for track maintenance and ATC signal upgrades.
From September 8 to 10, subway service from Sheppard-Yonge to Eglinton station will end early at 11 pm, according to the transit commission.
There will be shuttle buses running and stopping at each station on the affected route while TTC staff will be present to help direct transit riders.
The 97 Yonge bus and the University side of Line 1 will also be available for customers as an alternative.
According to the TTC, all stations will be open for fare sales, PRESTO reloads and connections to surface routes, also to Line 4.
At York Mills Station, the Old York Mills Road entrance and exit will be closed, and as for Lawrence Station, the automatic entrances and exits at Ranleigh Avenue and Bedford Park Avenue will also be closed.
The other entrances and exits will be available to customers.
“Customers who require Wheel-Trans service can speak with any TTC customer service staff member for assistance,” said the transit commission.
“While the TTC does most subway maintenance at the conclusion of service each night, it continues to require weekend and early weeknight closures to complete critical infrastructure and ATC upgrades.”
