There will be no subway service on portions of the TTC’s Line 1 this weekend and early closures next week for construction and ATC signal upgrades.

On February 6 and February 7, subway service from Finch to St. Clair stations will not be running due to construction work on the Eglinton Crosstown LRT. During this time, they will also continue installing the upgraded ATC signalling system.

Shuttle buses will be running and stopping at each station along the route, with TTC staff readily available to help customers at boarding and offloading locations.

“In addition to the shuttles, the 97 Yonge bus and the University side of Line 1 will be available as alternatives during the closure,” said the TTC.

North York Centre Station will be closed; however, all other stations will stay open for PRESTO sales and access to surface routes and Line 4.

North York Centre Station will be closed. All other stations will remain open for fare sales and access to surface routes and Line 4.

According to the TTC, at Sheppard-Yonge Station, the automatic entrances and exits at Yonge Street and Poyntz Avenue and Yonge Street and Anndale Drive will be closed.

At York Mills Station, the Old York Mills Road entrance and exit will be closed. The automatic entrances and exits at Ranleigh Avenue, and Bedford Park Avenue at Lawrence Station will also be closed.

“Customers who require Wheel-Trans service can speak with any TTC customer service staff member for assistance,” said the transit commission.

From February 8 to February 11, subway service from Finch to Eglinton stations will end nightly at 11 pm for tunnel and signal upgrades.

Shuttle buses will be running, with the 97 Yonge bus and the University side of Line 1 as alternatives.

“North York Centre Station will be closed. Both other stations will remain open for fare sales and access to surface routes and Line 4,” said the TTC.

At Sheppard-Yonge Station, the automatic entrances and exits at Yonge Street and Poyntz Avenue, and at Yonge Street and Anndale Drive will be closed.

At York Mills Station, the Old York Mills Road entrance and exits will also be closed and at Lawrence Station, the automatic entrances and exits at Ranleigh Avenue and Bedford Park Avenue will also be closed.

“While the TTC does most subway maintenance at the conclusion of service each night, it continues to require weekend and early weeknight closures to complete critical infrastructure and state of good repair work as well as ATC signal upgrades.”
