It’s about to get much easier to head to Bluffer’s Park, thanks to the TTC.

The TTC is launching its new 175 Bluffer’s Park accessible bus service this Sunday, May 6.

According to the TTC, the new service will run between Kennedy Station and Bluffer’s Park Beach approximately every 15 minutes during the daytime and early evening on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays until Saturday, October 6.

This weekend’s official launch will be attended by Mayor John Tory, TTC Chair Josh Colle and local Councillor Gary Crawford.

Over the last year, Councillor Gary Crawford has been working diligently with Parks, Forestry and Recreation and the TTC to bring safe, public access to the Scarborough Bluffs.

And in January, the TTC Board approved the bus service as a trial to improve public access to the area.

The 175 Bluffer’s Park buses will serve all stops along the new route, providing connections to other bus routes along the way (9 Bellamy, 16 McCowan, 21 Brimley, 86 Scarborough, 102 Markham Rd, 116 Morningside, 131 Nugget and 198 U of T Scarborough Rocket).
