Tractor-trailer crashes on 401, spills condiments

A tractor-trailer took a spill today – literally.

While attempting to take the on-ramp from the DVP to the west bound 401, the driver lost control and rolled the tractor-trailer, causing his load of salad dressing and mayonnaise to spill onto the road in what appeared to be a scene from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze.

Luckily, no one was seriously injured in the accident but OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt did confirm that the driver has been charged with careless driving.

Despite the accident taking place at roughly 10:30 am this morning, cleanup is still under way and is expected to continue until 8 pm tonight.

In other words, avoid the DVP at all costs. Unless, of course, you’re running low on Ranch (sorry, we had to).
