Introduction to Flamenco

What: Learn technique, choreography, rhythm, and expression all starting from square one. A celebratory class and a fabulous workout for the complete beginner taught by Canadian dancer Lia Grainger. Learn why flamenco is such an addictive art form. Students will learn a complete choreography in the “tangos” flamenco palo.

Mary J. Blige and Nas concert

What: In Toronto this Tuesday, Mary J. Blige, one of the world’s most famous and celebrated R&B singers, and Nas, a certified GOAT and rap legend are performing together at the Budweiser Stage amphitheatre.

A Night at the Drive In!

What: Join Bad Dog Comedy’s Company in Residence Sex T-Rex, for their monthly event telling stories with improv in various cinematic genres and sometimes even preview their newest scripted work.

These events also can feature special guests, so grab a beer at the bar and join them each month for an hour of comedy. This month’s theme is A Night at the Drive In!

Cirque du Soleil’s Alegria

What: Alegria, which was first performed by Cirque in 1994, stole the eyes and ears of more than 14 million spectators. Performed under a traditional Big Top tent, the show made its way to 255 different cities over 19 years of touring, until its last performance in 2013. Now the acclaimed production is back and arriving in TO this week. Treat yourself to this event.

Rock Band Night

What: Come powerslide into Rock Band stardom. Move the jam sesh out of your living room and into an IRL venue. There’s a massive setlist to choose from and it’s open to all levels of skill. Come shred a pattern of colours and find out if it will be you and your friends reigning victorious.

2019 BWV Toronto Ukrainian Festival

What: Discover Ukrainian culture in Canada and share the Ukrainian spirit at North America’s largest Ukrainian Street Festival. This is your opportunity to experience Ukrainian culture and hospitality at its best. Cultural pavilions will feature interactive cultural activities and displays of historical and contemporary interest while you enjoy shopping the sidewalk sale by local Bloor West Village shops and businesses.
