A blast of milder December weather is hitting Toronto on Monday, as the high is expected to reach 8°C.
According to The Weather Network, the warmth will arrive with a soggy start to the week.
“Much of southern Ontario can expect well above-zero temperatures for Monday, but those milder conditions — with daytime highs peaking near the double digits — will also be accompanied by a widespread rain that will persist for most of the day,” states the Weather Network.
The rain will be heaviest in the early afternoon, and will continue into the early morning hours on Tuesday.
The weather will stay above freezing level, and will be 3°C in Toronto overnight, according to Environment Canada.
The cold will be returning by Tuesday, and Wednesday will be the coldest day this work week, with a high reaching only -4°C.
Temperatures are expected to reach seasonal levels by Thursday and into the weekend, with a high of 1°C forecasted for Friday.
So for now, keep your umbrellas handy.
