The next solar eclipse will pass directly over Toronto

Aug 18 2017, 4:01 am

The Great North American Solar Eclipse is taking place on August 21, 2017, but unfortunately, Toronto will only experience a partial eclipse, meaning just a part of the sun will be covered by the moon.

But if you miss this eclipse you don’t have to worry… for more than seven years at least. ‘Cause on April 8, 2024, which is when the next solar eclipse will occur, Toronto will be able to see the sun covered by the moon in its entirety.

By all means, get your eclipse fix this time around – but know that the real deal is coming to Toronto in seven years!
