Toronto restaurants offering pizza-making kits for delivery or pick-up

Mar 24 2020, 6:03 pm

As Torontonians physically isolate among the COVID-19 pandemic, it makes sense that some folks — especially the kiddos — are seeking an outlet for pent-up energy.

Enter pizza-making.

Two Toronto pizza parlours have launched the option of pizza-making kits, with one spot offering delivery and the other, call-ahead pick-up.

If you’re downtown, you can order a kit from General Assembly through Uber Eats or Foodora.Ā Each kit makes two pizzas, and there are two topping-combo options available. Instructions are included, so no (additional) stress there.

If you’re further west, consider calling ahead to pick up your pie kit from Cici’s in Parkdale.

This spot’s DIY package includes a 12-hour proofed dough fit for a large pizza plus pizza sauce, cheese and — if you want it — pepperoni. There will also be a dipping sauce of your choice thrown in, all for $10.

You can call Cici’s at 416-533-3311 to place your order for a delicious meal that doubles as a way to facilitate a little “letting loose” around the house.

Or at least within the kitchen.
