Toronto's newest South American inspired restaurant opens next month
A South American restaurant has set its eyes on Toronto and has claimed a spot on John Street, ready to welcome eager customers next month.
MARKED will be located at 132 John Street with a set grand opening date of September 1.
This is Forthspace Hospitality’s latest venture since opening à toi and Coffee Oysters Champagne in Toronto back in 2018.
Along with the handcrafted cocktails and curated wine list, MARKED’s menu is inspired by South American flavours, accompanied by the taste that comes from charcoal-grilled foods.
“MARKED is committed to sourcing sustainable ingredients, cooked over natural heat to ensure the true essence of each flavour is perfectly represented. Guests will enjoy locally procured meats, seafood, and seasonal produce inspired by South American flavours, along with distinctive tastes that only a wood charcoal grill could welcome,” said Forthspace Hospitality.
There are four separate spaces for guests to enjoy their food which includes the Pan-Am Lounge, a front bar lounge and patio that is inspired by the 1950s Pan American theme, the Comedor, where you get a 1950s South American travel-themed dining room for a more “elevated yet casual experience”, the Tucano, a more private dining space that suits larger gatherings, and the Corsair, which is a more modern cocktail bar.
Keeping in line with the current health and safety measures, all staff and guests will be required to wear a mask, and reservations can only be made online.
