Toronto residential on-street parking enforcement resumes Friday

Aug 14 2020, 2:00 pm

Residential on-street parking enforcement will resume August 14 in Toronto after ticketing and permit renewals had been stopped due to the pandemic.

According to the City of Toronto, starting at midnight on Friday, enforcement will once again begin.

The city reminds residents that the period to renew or purchase on-street parking permits began on July 2 and the deadline was extended until August 7.

“Existing permit holders were contacted directly by mail throughout the month of July and parking permit office hours were extended for phone and email inquiries,” said the city in the release.

Residents are able to purchase temporary daily and weekly parking permits on their website at any time as the parking permit office remains closed.

However, they can still be reached at 416-392-7873 or by email at [email protected] from 8:30 am to 8 pm, Monday to Friday.
