The Toronto Raptors are adding to their depth with their latest signing.

According to Hoops Hype’s Michael Scotto, the Raptors have landed Colin Castleton on a 10-day contract.

Castleton has played 26 games in his NBA career: 16 last year with the Los Angeles Lakers, and 10 this season with the Memphis Grizzlies. He hasn’t seen the floor much, though, averaging just four minutes per game in those contests, putting up 1.5 points, 0.8 rebounds, and 0.1 assists in his brief career.

He did, however, have the distinction of being on the first-ever team to win the NBA Cup, doing so with his brief time with the Lakers. He was waived by the Lakers this past fall after playing for them at last year’s NBA Summer League in Las Vegas.

He’s spent time with both the Memphis Hustle and Osceola Magic of the NBA G League this season, averaging 17.6 points per night in 29.6 minutes of action across 17 regular-season games.

A native of Daytona Beach, Castleton went undrafted in 2023. He played the first two years of his collegiate career at the University of Michigan before returning to his home state, playing his final three seasons at the University of Florida. He was named a first-team all-SEC player during his final season at Florida.

Given that the Raptors appear to be making a push to play their younger players more over the remainder of the season, Castleton could get a bit of run over the next week and a bit for Toronto.

The Raptors have five games lined up throughout the contract, which could extend to six if they make the move on paper on Friday. Castleton’s first shot at his Raptors debut comes this weekend against the Utah Jazz on Friday night, followed by games against the Washington Wizards on Saturday and Monday nights.
