According to police, on June 30, 2018, officers responded to a call for a shooting in the area of Queen Street West and Peter Street.

When officers arrived on scene, they located two men and one woman with gunshot wounds. Police say all three were taken to hospital, but both men succumbed to their injuries.

Police said they expected the woman to recover from her injuries.

Following the incident, a warrant was issued for 22-year-old Abdulkadir Handule of Toronto.

On Friday, July 5, 2019, Handule was arrested in the area of Burnaby, BC, by the RCMP on unrelated charges and he was turned over to police in Toronto.

Police say they are still looking for a second suspect who is wanted in connection to these murders, however, he cannot be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Investigators say the second suspect should contact a lawyer and make arrangements to surrender themselves.

If you know the whereabouts of the second suspect, don’t approach them, as they are considered armed, violent, and dangerous. Call 9-1-1 immediately.
