Cooler temperatures, rain forecasted for the weekend in Toronto

Enjoy the sunshine while it lasts, because days of rain are in the forecast for the upcoming week in Toronto.

According to Environment Canada’s seven day outlook, there is a chance of showers for several days before periods of rain early next week.

The rest of Friday shows a chance of a thunderstorm, as the heatwave continues in Toronto.

“A prolonged period of hot weather continues today and tonight. Cooler temperatures are forecast for the weekend,” reads the heat warning on Friday.

“Daytime high temperatures in excess of 30 degrees Celsius, with humidex values in the high thirties to low forties, are expected today. Overnight lows near 20 degrees Celsius are also expected tonight. However, a cooler air mass moves into the area for Saturday and Sunday with daytime temperatures below 30 degrees both days.”

Expect highs around 27°C and 26°C on Saturday and Sunday. Monday will be 25°C, before temperatures rise back up by Tuesday.
