A power outage in Toronto’s east end is currently impacting thousands of customers.
According to police, the outage is affecting the Beaches neighbourhood, particularly around Coxwell and Queen Street East, and Coxwell and Eastern Avenue.
Traffic lights at those intersections are reportedly being impacted, and as such, should be treated as a four-way stop.
Police say they have been advised by Toronto Hydro that anywhere from 1,000 to 5,000 people are affected by this morning’s outage. Hydro crews are on scene.

According to Toronto Hydro, the estimated time of restoration is approximately 2 pm.

There is no word on any impacted TTC routes at this time.
