A 12-year-old boy was caught driving his dad’s car on Toronto’s QEW early Tuesday morning.
According to Toronto Police, at around 1:27 am, they received a call about a child allegedly driving a vehicle in the area of Albion Road and Islington Avenue.
“Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the vehicle,” said Toronto Police in an email to Daily Hive.
Almost an hour later, at 2:28 am they received another call where it was believed that there was an impaired driver in the area of Albion Road and Weston Road.
Ontario Provincial Police were then notified and managed to stop the driver of the vehicle at around 3:15 am on the QEW by Hurontario.
There were no reported injuries and no damage to the vehicle whatsoever.
Toronto Police helped reunite the 12-year-old boy and his father after the whole ordeal. TPS has not laid any charges.
