Toronto's Pearson Airport named one of North America's top 10 best airports
While travel might be on hold for a little longer, Skytrax has released its annual World Airport Awards and Toronto’s Pearson Airport has been ranked the top airport serving 50 to 60 million passengers, and is also one of North America’s best airports.
Additionally, YYZ ranks as the 42nd best airport in the world, which represents a jump from 50th place in 2019.
Toronto was ranked the best airport serving 50 to 60 million passengers in 2020.
It’s followed by Barcelona–El Prat Airport in second place, and San Fransisco International Airport in third.

According to this year’s global ranking, two other Canadian airports that ranked in the top 100 are Vancouver International Airport at number one, and Montreal Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport at number nine.
Skytrax’s airport rankings are based on passenger comfort and airport design.
The annual Skytrax rankings are deemed by some as one of the most prestigious and recognized awards in the aviation industry. Besides ranking airports overall, it also surveys other aviation industry aspects such as analyzes airlines, airline lounges, airport hotels, airport dining, airport shopping, and airport staff.
