You can once again work out in Toronto. Outside, at least.
Starting today, outdoor fitness classes, team training, and personal training are permitted to resume in Ontario’s Grey-Lockdown zones. COVID-19 hot-spots, Toronto and Peel, are both included in this amendment to regulations.
A maximum of 10 people are allowed per class or activity, and physical distancing must be maintained. As well, patrons are required to wear a face mask or covering.
The playing or practicing of team sports is still prohibited, although training sessions are allowed to resume.
“Activities that are likely to result in individuals coming within three metres of each other are not permitted,” the province notes.

In addition to the resumption of outdoor fitness, personal care services will be permitted to reopen in lockdown regions as of April 12.
The decision to relax some Grey Zone rules was made to “further support businesses and promote fitness during the pandemic,” the government said.
To date, Ontario has seen 345,234 COVID-19 cases and 7,337 virus-related deaths.
