If you’re looking to add a little excitement to your Family Day weekend, you may want to consider heading to Thunder Bay.

We get it, it’s a bit of a hike from Toronto.

But during this upcoming weekend only, Fort William Historical Park will be hosting Voyageur Winter Carnival, a massive outdoor winter carnival complete with snow tubing, winter games, skating, entertainment, but most importantly, the massive, sprawling snow maze.

Running from Saturday to Monday, the carnival is the perfect place to embrace the winter elements and make the most of the chilly weather.

One of the main attractions is the snowmobile stunt show, featuring X Games and Red Bull competitors Fred Rasmussen and Brody John Wilson, where they’ll perform amazing stunts over the Kaministiquia River.

But the main event is definitley the 1,700-square-metre snow maze, which just so happens to hold a Guinness World Record for being the worlds largest snow maze.

Tickets start at $10 or weekend passes are available for $20.

So get ready to bundle up and get lost this Family Day weekend.
