Four employees at the same No Frills location in Toronto have tested positive for COVID-19 over the past weekend in the midst of rising case numbers in the city.

According to Loblaws, Carlo’s No Frills, located at 6220 Yonge Street in North York, reported four positive cases on September 27.

The last day all team members had worked was on September 18, 19, and 21,

The same store had previously reported only two positive coronavirus cases on September 26; however, the numbers have now been updated.

Loblaws has also reported several cases at Shoppers Drug Mart locations across the city and the GTA.

“Given the important role we play in our communities, we are prepared for all possible situations, including a positive test for COVID-19 in our stores. In these cases, we work closely with public health and follow their guidance to ensure proper notification of close contacts and required cleaning and sanitization in our stores,” said Loblaws.

“In addition, we have mandated that our staff and customers wear masks in Extra Foods, Fortinos, Maxi, No Frills, Real Canadian Superstores and T&T stores across Canada.”

In an effort for transparency, Loblaws regularly updates their coronavirus cases in stores by province within the last 15 days.
