Oct 3 2018, 4:32 pm

It’s time to start planning your long weekend in Toronto, especially if you’re planning on riding the TTC.

This Saturday and Sunday, there will be no subway service on Line 1 between Finch West and Lawrence West stations due to signal upgrades.

The affected stations include:

  • Vaughan Metropolitan Centre
  • Highway 407
  • Pioneer Village
  • York University
  • Finch West
  • Lawrence West

The TTC says shuttle buses will operate between these stations for the duration of the closure.

Additionally, holiday subway service will be observed on Monday morning, which means subway and most routes will start at 6 am. Any routes that do not normally operate on Sundays, will not operate on Thanksgiving Monday.

Holiday subway service will be observed on Monday morning.

The next TTC subway closure is scheduled for October 27 and 28, which will halt service on Line 1 between Lawrence and St Clair stations due to Metrolinx’s Eglinton Crosstown LRT work at Yonge Street and Eglinton Avenue.
