McDonald's employees test positive for COVID-19 in Toronto and Brampton

Since the start of the month, five McDonald’s employees in the Toronto area have tested positive for COVID-19.

On February 1, an employee at the 2218 Bloor Street West location was reported to have tested positive for the virus. They had last worked on January 29.

That same day, the 150 Rimrock Road location reported a positive COVID-19 case among one of its employees. They had last worked on January 29.

On February 2, an employee at the 5453 Dundas Street West location was reported to have tested positive for COVID-19. They had last worked in-store on January 30.

The same day, on February 2, the 45 Mountainash Road location in Brampton, reported an employee testing positive for the virus. They had last worked on January 31.

On February 3, the 885 Bloor Street West location reported a positive case among one of its staff members who had last worked in-store on January 31.

Anyone who visited an affected McDonald’s is asked to take directions from Ontario Public Health.

McDonald’s Canada says their restaurants have implemented enhanced safety measures, including having hand sanitizer dispensers available, keeping high-touch surfaces and tables sanitized, and making masks mandatory for all staff.
