A Toronto McDonald’s location has closed after a staff-member tested positive for COVID-19, a spokesperson says.

The employee, who works at the 1185 Dupont Street location, at the intersection of Dupont and Dufferin Street, reportedly tested positive on April 6.

They last worked on April 2 from 7 am to 3 pm, according to the company.

As a result, the restaurant has been shut down for a thorough cleaning and sanitation by a third-party cleaning service.

The restaurant will re-open once the direction has been given by local health authorities.

All crew members who may have been in close contact with the employee have been asked to self-quarantine until further information is available.

Any guests who may have visited the restaurant on April 2 should follow the directions outlined here.

The Province of Ontario confirmed 309 new known cases of COVID-19, bringing the province’s total up to 4,347, as of Monday morning.
