Toronto Maple Leafs hiring for cool job where you work with the front office

When most people think of working for the Toronto Maple Leafs, they likely think about all the cool perks that come with the job.
The life of a professional sports player is one of travel, high-stakes opportunities, and, well, the shot at championship glory.
But most people probably don’t give much of a thought to who puts that all together behind the scenes, and we’re not just talking about roster construction from the general manager.
If you’re interested in working for a team like the Leafs, you won’t exactly be able to send in a resume to land a top executive role and suddenly be making trades and signing free agents.
But you could play a small part in that, as per a vacant role.
What’s the job posting with the Leafs?
The Leafs are currently hiring for an Administrative Assistant, Hockey Operations, with an activeĀ job posting via MLSE.
The role includes “comprehensive administrative support to Hockey Operations staff, including scheduling, travel coordination, and document preparation” for all members of the organization.
If you’re interested in coordinating team meetings, flights, hotel rooms on the road, and just about anything else you can think of, perhaps this is your pathway to working closely in hockey operations. While we can’t exactly imagine that you’ll get to send all your best trade proposals to general manager Brad Treliving, you’ll have a closer link to Toronto’s front office than most.
The role also suggests a “minimum 3ā5 years of administrative experience, preferably in sports, entertainment, or high-performance environments.”
It’s not the mostĀ glamorous gig in the universe, but it’s certainly a bit different than your average 9-to-5.
If this role isn’t quite your scene, there areĀ 19 other MLSE jobsĀ looking for new employees.
Note: There is no currently listed salary range for this role.
