“An inclement weather warning has been issued, and fans in the Tailgate at Maple Leaf Square are asked to exit the Square safely and head to nearby shelter,” Scotiabank Arena announced on social media.

That warning wound up being very short-lived, however, as just over 30 minutes later, it was announced that ticketed members were allowed to head back to Maple Leaf Square and get ready to watch the game.

A severe thunderstorm watch is still in place, as the Leafs try to close out the playoff series against the Ottawa Senators. Things are expected to clear up around 8 p.m., though wind gusts are expected to remain throughout the night.

With a 3-1 series lead, the Maple Leafs are looking to advance to the second round of the playoffs for just the second time in 21 years.
