Luminato is holding public auditions for its upcoming summer performance
Last summer, Luminato took over various venues across the city for 12 days.
And if you had the pleasure of enjoying a show from the multi-arts and multi-platform festival, you understand the amount of talent the performers have.
And if you feel like you’ve got what it takes to join Luminato’s impressive team of performers, public auditions will be taking place next weekend, just in time for Luminato’s 12th year.
This June, Luminato will present the Toronto premiere of Le Grand Continental, a world-renowned extravaganza that brings together a massive cast of community dance enthusiasts to perform a sensational dance routine.
The production was created by Montréal choreographer Sylvain Émard and has since travelled to Mexico City, New York, Philadelphia, Portland (Oregon), Boston, Ottawa, Vancouver, South Korea, New Zealand and Chile.
The Toronto rendition will be the largest Le Grand Continental performance executed and will feature 400 dancers from across the GTA.
Sunday, February 18, 2018:
Session 1: 10 am – 12:30 pm
Session 2: 12:30 am – 3:30 pm
Session 3: 3 pm – 5:30 pm
Tuesday, February 20, 2018

Following the city-wide audition process, dancers will be required to complete three months of dedicated rehearsals. They will then perform the show four times, free to audiences in Nathan Phillips Square from June 22 to 24.
This is your chance to join a diverse and dynamic group of dancers and star in a memorable, outdoor spectacle. All dancers interested in auditioning can register here.
