Toronto Longo's employee tests positive for coronavirus

A Toronto Longo’s employee, who reportedly last worked on April 19, has tested positive for COVID-19.

The company posted an update on April 19, reporting the diagnosis of a team member at the Leaside — 93 Laird Drive — location.

As a result, all staff who had close personal contact with the affected individual have been asked to stay home and self-monitor their health.

Longo’s says that these employees will be paid in full during this time.

Further, the store is being deep-cleaned above and beyond the already-elevated sanitation protocols the company put in place.

“This issue has our full attention and we are moving forward with the health and safety of every team member and guest in mind,” the company said.
