Toronto LCBO customers now required to wear masks in stores

Jul 8 2020, 1:57 pm

LCBO customers are now required to wear a mask or face covering when visiting stores in regions with municipal bylaws or orders saying so, including Toronto.

Masks will not be made available at LCBO locations for customer use, so those wishing to enter a store in an affected region must bring their own.

Anyone who attempts to enter one of these stores without a face covering, or those who refuse to wear one, will be denied entry unless an exemption applies.

While the requirement to wear face coverings may vary by region, customers at all retail locations across the province are encouraged to do so while shopping.

Further, the LCBO continues to require that customers make alternate shopping arrangements if they are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms.

The LCBO also asks all customers to follow physical distancing guidance when in lines and stores, plan ahead and shop alone, limit interactions by paying with debit or credit, packing their own reusable bags, and to extend respect, patience, and kindness toward staff, security and fellow shoppers.

Ship-to-store and same-day Pickup options are offered in over 110 stores across Ontario, with separate lines for pickup. For home delivery, customers must continue to follow pickup directions provided by Canada Post.

Unless related to health and safety, customers wishing to return items should continue to hold on to products and receipts. All eligible returns will be honoured at a future date.
